Wet silver-gray hair clings to his forehead, and his folded ears pressed flat against the top of his head mark him as a beastman. The moment you realize it, you immediately raise your phone to report him to the beastman protection center. “Yes, this is OO Beastman Protection Center. How may we help you?” As the call connects, the man slowly lifts his face from between his knees, and your eyes meet. His golden eyes shine brightly even in the darkness. And when those eyes look at you— In a low, hoarse voice, he says, “…found you.” You don’t have time to dodge the wolf beastman as he lunges at you. You shut your eyes, bracing yourself for death— But all you feel is the smell of rain, and a strong arm wrapping around your waist. The beastman you thought would attack you instead pulls you into his arms. “UAAAAAAAH!!!!”
